2006 2007 2008

JAN FEB MAR APR MAY JUN JUL AUG SEPT OCT NOV DEC

+ West Side Story at Sadler's Wells

THE GREATEST DANCE MUSICAL OF ALL TIME

With groundbreaking choreography by the legendary Jerome Robbins, book by Arthur Laurents, an unforgettable score by Leonard Bernstein and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim,West Side Story changed the face of musical theatre for ever.

Based on Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet and packed with unforgettable songs including Maria, Tonight, Somewhere, America and I Feel Pretty,West Side Story has been described as “a masterpiece of musical theatre” (The Daily Mail) and “a musical landmark” (The Guardian).

The movie version went on to win an incredible 10 Academy Awards (including Best Picture) and further cemented the reputation of this undoubted masterpiece.

Now in 2008, 50 years after the show made its London debut, Joey McKneely’s vibrant new stage production of the classic dance musical comes to London after wild critical acclaim in Tokyo, Paris and Beijing.

Comparative tasting of Champagne - Blind

How does our favourite bubbly really compare to the others? Veuve Cliquot, Ruinart, Billecart-Salmon, Bollinger, Ayala and Joseph Perrier. But we are going to taste them BLIND and then make up our minds. The results of this exercise are often quite a revelation. Don't miss out by booking too late!

After the tasting people can wander over to the bar and maybe have a bite to eat - the Smorgesboard comes very highly recommended.

Friday 15
+ The Old Knightsbridge Pub Walk

Welcome to the other Knightsbridge.

The old lanes, as they're known, are a London original. They're one of the capital's hidden delights, one of its special places. And yes they are hard to find...our higgledy-piggledy route takes us up a cobbled pathway, past a hidden churchyard, along a little mews, through a gate in a wall and down some steps and then...hey presto, we're through the looking glass and into the old lanes.

Into a collector's corner of mews, alleys, and cosiness. Into unchanging London. Here we could be a million miles from Harrods and the hustle and bustle of Brompton Road. The contrast is as dramatic and unexpected as anything in London...if you didn't know better you'd think you were in the back streets of a Cornish fishing village.

And that's just for openers. Stir in pots of history, add a dash of intrigue and gossip, and garnish with pubs that are real trouvailles and you've got a spiffing walk. (Food is available.)

Guests of members welcome.

ABOUT OUR EVENTS
The ExecEvents Club prides itself on offering a diverse calendar of stylish Social Events, Cultural Events, Singles Events and VIP Events throughout the year. We work with the top sporting venues, cultural institutions, restaurants and clubs to ensure our members benefit from an interesting and enjoyable range of events.

We schedule approximately 4-5 events a month - most in the evening but also some during the day. In a typical month there will be one or two cultural and special interest events, a sporting activity (seasonal), one gastropub style dinner party and one more formal one, regular drinks parties, walks, debates, wine tastings and so on. We also organise 2 or 3 weekend trips a year, both abroad and in the UK.

The diary is constantly being updated as events become available so it is worth checking out each month's activities on a regular basis.
