Thursday 15
+ Wimbeldon Arts, Summer Show

Wimbledon Art Studios constantly amazes & thrills its visitors. Perhaps when thinking of world art organisations, it doesn't immediately come to mind, but it's the largest Art Studios in the world, where 185 painters, sculptures, ceramists etc. work.

Twice a year the Studios open to the public, attracting 7,000 people annually, as well as all the leading galleries looking for exciting new talent. Each artist is very different from the next. You enter studio after studio to be confronted by stunning images that fill the viewer with delight, confuse, or even shock. Most experience all of these and many more emotions, but there's no way anyone will leave unmoved.

The artwork is very popular with total sales averaging £300,000 p.a. Prices range from a few pounds to £5,000, with the vast majority being at the affordable end. The ceramics make wonderful presents whilst the paintings can totally transform the proud owners living or work places.

Tuesday 20
+ Melvyn Bragg interviews Gore Vidal

A Gala Evening:

Giant of American letters, Gore Vidal is a novelist, essayist and playwright whose career spans six decades. Outspoken critic of the American Establishment, he has been a unique presence on the stage of politics, history and culture, many of whose key figures he has known. He first came to attention with his 1948 novel The City and the Pillar which outraged mainstream critics as the first major American novel to feature unambiguous homosexuality.

In addition to a major sequence of seven novels about American history, and such satirical novels as Myra Breckinridge and Duluth, he has written dozens of television plays, film scripts, and over a hundred essays, gathered in several volumes published between 1962 and 2001.

Broadcaster, novelist and writer, Lord Bragg is perhaps best known for the LWT arts programme The South Bank Show, which he has written, edited and produced since 1978. He is also known for his many programmes on BBC Radio 4, including Start the Week, which he presented for ten years, In Our Time, and The Routes of English, a history of the English language.

ABOUT OUR EVENTS
The ExecEvents Club prides itself on offering a diverse calendar of stylish Social Events, Cultural Events, Singles Events and VIP Events throughout the year. We work with the top sporting venues, cultural institutions, restaurants and clubs to ensure our members benefit from an interesting and enjoyable range of events.

We schedule approximately 4-5 events a month - most in the evening but also some during the day. In a typical month there will be one or two cultural and special interest events, a sporting activity (seasonal), one gastropub style dinner party and one more formal one, regular drinks parties, walks, debates, wine tastings and so on. We also organise 2 or 3 weekend trips a year, both abroad and in the UK.

The diary is constantly being updated as events become available so it is worth checking out each month's activities on a regular basis.
