SATURDAY NIGHT :
Early supper then comedian Jimmy Carr’s show at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall. Tickets £25
“Fresh from presenting the 5th series of 8 Out of 10 Cats (Channel 4), writing his first book, and recording his 3rd DVD British Comedy Award winner Carr is back on the road doing what he does best with a brand new show: Repeat Offender. Not suitable for the easily offended. In fact not even a show for people that are quite difficult to offend. Essentially this is a show for people without a moral compass, keen to engage with one of the biggest faces in comedy”!
SUNDAY MORNING :
Anthony Gormley @ Crosby Beach. £10
‘Another Place’ is a massive installation on Crosby Beach that consists of 100 cast-iron figures, moulded from the artists own body in the style that has become synonymous with his work. The ghostly life-size figures are dotted along three kilometres of the Crosby shore, sparse in some areas and getting more congregated as they reach the sea front, so onlookers can catch the detail of those near and the shadow of sculptures in the distance out to sea in one eyeful.
SUNDAY EARLY AFTERNOON :
Return to city centre: free to explore more of the city or enjoy a long, lazy jazz lunch before departure. |
